Growing Roots Community LTD will be hosting an informal Pride Prep Rally at Eton Park on July 16th 2pm to 5pm – local groups will be asked to represent with blanket stalls and there will be activities to join in on like protest sign making, making your own flag, accessory making, BYO clothes upcycling (some will be provided), and more!
Speeches, demonstrations, and performances welcome with a casual open mic set up, and there will be things on sale too – consider buying to help our your local grass roots organisations!
Organizer Andrew Copeman has said: “It should be a great day that inspires people to get pumped for pride, whether that’s by prepping their outfits or making protest signs for the march, there’ll be something for everyone – even if you won’t be attending the march itself it’s a great opportunity to experience a community atmosphere and a joyful celebration.”
